SKW Constructors (A Skanska, Kiewit, and Weeks Joint Venture)is building the tunnel sections in Sparrows Point for the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Elizabeth River Tunnel Project in Baltimore and needs qualified subcontractors and workers. The Project, located in Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia, will consist of site work, bridge work, marine/tunnel work and services for the rehabilitation of the existing Downtown and Midtown Tunnels.
This information session will provide:
· Project Overview
· Specific Products and Services needed, and the
· Process to become certified as a DBE or SWaM firm in Virginia
· Prequalification requirements for VDOT
Some of the local contracting opportunities include:
Ø Navigational Lighting
Ø Temporary Power
Ø Navigational Tracking Systems
Ø Outfit for towing – tug boats
Ø Furnish and Install Bulkheads
